Fashion has always been a passion of mine since before I can remember. Post college, I turned it into a career and had been in corporate retail for over 10 years. What I love about fashion is the ability to show who you are before ever speaking a word to someone. Fashion is about your own personal style and image, and no matter what people say, it is always the first impression you give to someone.
I came across Dallas Supply Co. on Instagram and immediately was drawn to its vintage and casual aesthetic. As I learned more about them, I began to identify with their brand and was flattered when they asked to send me a couple items to be featured on Live Be Dallas. When it comes to endorsing items, I only feature brands and products I know and love – and Dallas Supply Co. fit perfectly into my closet.
Dallas Supply Co. was founded by Dallas natives in 2014 and are already making a name for themselves. They saw the need for a brand dedicated to sharing Dallas pride in new and unexpected ways with a focus on good design and great products. They meticulously crafted their first collection using the finest materials they could source and started with the best shirts available – so comfortable they could be worn on their own.
I reached out to my friends from across Main Street Garden, downtown residences His + Her Blog, to get some help shooting something extra special for Dallas Supply Co. I’ve always admired His + Her Blog’s voice in the Dallas community. The husband and wife His + Her team has been featured in Bungalow Magazine, Modern Luxury, on InstaDFW, and on the West Elm Front + Main blog. I’ve known, and worked with, one of the co-creators for years and it was a great experience to see her do what she does best!
I paired my Dallas Supply Co. tee with a pair of J.Crew “Unsweat” pants. I have been hesitant to get on trend with wearing sweatpants out of the house, but success is in how you style said sweatpants. With help from His + Her, I added an army fatigue jacket that I’ve had in my closet for years and continue to get great wear out of. Every closet should have a fatigue jacket of some sort – it’s just a great throw-on-over-a-tee jacket….which is exactly what I did. I pulled the look together with a pair of vintage-inspired Nike kicks, a Dallas Supply Co. cap, some wrist swag (bracelets/watch), and I was set!
I can’t wait to add other pieces to my collection and continue to rep Dallas through fashion! Visit http://www.dallassupplyco.com to view the entire collection.
